Kay Metzeler moulded foam is manufactured on state of the art cold cure moulding plants. The plants are automated with robotic pouring facilities and typically hold 24 mould tools mounted on a carousel. Production occurs by the delivery of chemical components to a mixing head mounted on a robotic arm. The components are efficiently mixed within a small chamber under high pressure and then poured into individual mould tools. After pouring the tool closes and is sealed under pressure. The tool opens after 4-6 minutes and the moulds are removed and finished to a high standard of quality.
A high degree of control over pouring of the moulds and delivery of the components to the mix head provides a versatile production process which allows us to meets the individual requirements of our customers.
