These foams incorporate Kay-Metzeler's patented graphite technology to give excellent fire retardant performance. Graphite foams have the advantage of offering superior comfort, low smoke, low toxicity and low heat release whilst still being able to meet aircraft and rail flammability requirements.

Kay-Metzeler use expandable graphite flake which exfoliates when exposed to rapid, intense heating, increasing it's volume by approximately 150 times, thereby forming a protective char barrier between the fire source and the foam.

Carefoam DX™	Available in a range of densities and hardness, the  Carefoam DX™ range can be used in a range of applications where a high level of flame retardancy in required, such as soft play areas, gymnastic pits, sound absorption, contract furniture, bedding and seating.
